Scratch is a programming platform and online community. Scratch can be used to create presentations, simulations, games, art, and so much more. Teachers can integrate the use of Scratch into any subject in order to increase voice and choice in their classroom. Teachers can be creative in how they use Scratch as a teaching tool and assessment opportunity.

Technical Requirements

  • Scratch does not require a local installation and can be accessed on any device with a web browser, including Chromebooks.
  • Scratch is free.
  • Users must create an account.
  • Teachers can request a teacher account. To request a teacher account, use this request form.
