Open Doors to Hopes and Dreams With FAFSA® and Financial Aid

Financial aid is the gateway that many students need to achieve their hopes and dreams. The financial support included in aid packages can make postsecondary education affordable and provide students with the opportunity to achieve an advanced degree, access more career possibilities, and earn a better income. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a critical step in the process of securing financial aid, and it’s available free of charge to both U.S. citizens and qualified non-U.S. citizens. Even students who are not eligible for federal financial aid should complete the FAFSA since this may qualify them for state or local aid packages. Students must complete the FAFSA application each year they wish to receive financial aid. For 2022, the FAFSA is due Thursday, June 30, but students are encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible to maximize their opportunities for grants, scholarships, and loans.

To help you better understand FAFSA and the application process, we’ve compiled some of the most important information you need to get started.
