ANSWERS Inquiry Process, Step 4: Weaving the Information Together
In today’s episode, we’ll review two key elements of weaving information together: the critical consumption of information and the process of note-taking and making connections.
Critical Consumption of New Information
- Scan the material to identify the organization and structure.
- Identify and define unfamiliar words.
- Annotate materials with questions, summaries, definitions, and insights.
- Digital Word Processing Documents: Use integrated highlighters and comment tools.
- PDFs: Use Kami or DocHub.
- Images: Annotate with Nimbus Screenshot (Tips).
- Websites: Annotate using Hypothesis, Sticky Notes, or Page Marker.
- Videos: Add time-stamped notes with ReClipped or YiNote.
Note-Taking for Synthesis
