Gain Background Knowledge to Develop a Hypothesis or Thesis
- Explore encyclopedias, including Britannica and Wikipedia.
- Conduct a web search.
- Ask an AI tool, such as Microsoft Bing Chat, Merlin Chrome Extension, or Google Bard.
- Look for key terms, outlines, hyperlinks, and summaries.
- Develop a concept map, with tools like Mindomo (Tips) and MindMeister.
Identify and Locate Potential Resources and Research Strategies
- Review project requirements.
- Review research tools and options.
- Make a research plan.
- Consider how the outcomes will be communicated.
